As the Global Account Manager for Marketing & Operations, David Nuckolls is responsible for the marketing management, strategic communication efforts, and operations for the six industry teams within the Georgia Centers of Innovation (COI) division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. With core offices in Atlanta’s Tech Square, the Centers also have offices in Macon, Savannah and Tifton and serve a statewide mission.
Since joining the Department in August 2012 as the Manager of Marketing and Communications, David has successfully led the Centers of Innovation through a rebranding and messaging initiative, been awarded 6 industry awards for his work, streamlined the division’s metrics tracking and reporting, and helped the Centers earn more than 1 billion media impressions through more than 500 different outlets. He is also responsible for the oversight and management of the Marketing and Communication Coordinator and Program Analyst positions.
David is also pursuing a Certified Economic Developer certification (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council and has completed two of his courses through the Georgia Institute of Technology.
David previously served the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce as their communications coordinator where he expanded their capabilities across social media, journalism, and marketing. He is a third generation graduate of Berry College in Rome, Georgia where he currently serves as a mentor in the Young Alumni Partnership Program. David, his wife Anna, and son Henley, reside in Newnan, Georgia.
